Board of Directors
The Board of Directors at DCP operate as an elected group of members dedicated to the service of our theatre. These individuals have demonstrated not only the talent required for the positions they have been appointed to, but additionally, a passion for the advancement and success of DCP Theatre.
The 2025 Board elect
Deb has been a member for 47 years. During that time she had served on the board in various capacities, directed, produced, acted, and served on various committees.
Rachael has an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from the New School in NYC and holds a B.A. in Theatre from Point Park University. With 30 years of nonprofit management history, she has worked for well-known organizations – Young Audiences New York, The Wilma Theatre, People’s Light and Theatre, Montgomery Theatre and Berks Jazz Fest. For 15 years, Rachael served in key positions at The Conservatory (Doylestown). From 2018 – 2022 she was the Executive Director. Currently Rachael is the Executive Operations Manager at Potential Inc, a nonprofit serving the autism community. Throughout her career, Rachael has successfully created educational programs, managed fundraising events and appeals, led organizations to develop strong operational processes, and engaged in community building to support a strong company culture. Rachael is a 15-year member at DCP Theatre.
Candi has served on the Board since 2009. She is a stage manager, actor, puppeteer, and former dancer. She was drawn to DCP because of its varied productions--plays, musicals, and children’s theatre, but she has stayed because of the wonderful people she’s met here. Candi has a BFA in Theatre (Puppetry and Creative Dramatics) from West Virginia University.
Geoff joined DCP as a member in 2009 and has been treasurer since 2010. He has directed Nightwatch, Sherlock Holmes, Frankenstein, and most recently Ghosts of Christmas Past. He has enjoyed seeing DCP Theatre grow and continue to showcase the performing arts. He would like to thank all of DCP’s patrons for their ongoing support.
Jane has been involved at DCP since 2011. She started out as a “backstage mom” through her older daughter’s involvement with Drama Kids and then in shows. She has been Family Theater Coordinator since 2014 and over the years produced a multitude of shows including family theater, main stage and one musical! She is thrilled to be back on the board of directors and contribute to the growth of DCP.
Bill has been involved in theatre and performing arts for over 30 years and has been a member of the DCP Theatre community since 1997. He has served as an actor, director, stage manager, lighting designer, and this is his second time serving on the DCP Board of Directors. On stage you might have seen Bill in: The Last Romance, 39 Steps; I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change; Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Nights Dream, The Wizard of Oz, Dracula, Proposals, Rainbow Bar & Grill, Accomplice, and Mixed Couples, to name a few. Outside the theater, Bill is now retired from his position as the Director of Drama Kids of Montgomery County but he keeps busy doing voiceover and acting work, and helping his wife Colleen run their AirBnB property called “Stay and Be Home”.
Development Director:
Cathy Zeller
Cathy joined DCP Theatre in 2000. She served on the Board before as the Children Theatre Coordinator. She also enjoys Directing, Producing, Costuming, Set dressing and much more. She is now bringing her development skills to DCP. Her goal is to work hard in bringing patrons, community businesses and the DCP theatre together for a wonderful experience.
Carly Covel is a Philadelphia area teaching artist, props master, choreographer and social media content curator with over 10 years of digital marketing experience for various nonprofit organizations. Her passions include movement, dance, and arts education.
A storyteller to her core, Carly can frequently be found on stage, behind the scenes or keeping busy spending time with her adorable daughter, Lydia. This is her fifth year as a member of DCP Theatre and second year serving on the board of directors.
Previous DCP leadership includes, Stage Management for Alice In Wonderland (‘19), Pinocchio(‘22), Assistant Director for A Christmas Carol (‘22), Website Administrator (2022-Present), Social Media Coordinator (2021-Present) and Outlet Committee Chair (2022-2023)
Carly was honored to be one of the inaugural recipients of the Phil Cook Service Award in 2022.
Marianne has been involved in several area community theatres, and is a proud lifetime member (member since 2004). Although, Marianne's first theatre love is acting, she has directed many times, including Daughters, Little Women and most recently took the reins for Coney Island Christmas last season. "I'm honored to join of such a dedicated and hardworking board of directors!"
