Synopsis:

Lost in Yonkers is a coming-of-age story set in Yonkers, New York. Simon's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play centers around two brothers, Arty and Jay, who live with their grandmother and their mentally challenged Aunt Bella, while their father travels, desperately trying to scrape enough money together while working as a salesman to pay off his debts to a loan shark, and their mother has died of cancer. Over the course of the play, the young boys learn lessons about love, responsibility and the importance of family that will carry them into adulthood.

Ben Cordner

Ben Cordner (Jay) is a high school senior and attends Bucks County Community College. Ben enjoys watching movies and hopes to someday be a part of the film industry. Ben has been acting for six years with his more notable roles being Peter Pan from Peter Pan and Clarence Odbody from It's a Wonderful Life. Ben thanks Michelle for a part in this show.

Pockets Seachrist

Pockets Seachrist (Bella) is excited to be on the DCP stage once again for the 2023 season, this is their 7th show at DCP (and the first main stage show they’ve been in!) They’d like to thank Michelle for the wonderful opportunity and also thanks you all for coming. Enjoy the show !

Stephanie Weidner

Stephanie Weidner (Gert) is very excited to make her DCP debut. She was last seen as Dr. Bennett in Methacton Community Theater's production of Big Fish. Other favorite roles include wicked stepmother Salome in The Robber Bridegroom and head angel Josephine in It's a Wonderful Life. She would like to thank her two awesome kids and her beautiful fiancee for all their love and support.

Joseph Gugliotti

 

Joseph Gugliotti (Arty)  Is an Eighth grader at Corpus Christi Catholic School  an avid swimmer, diver and water polo player. He enjoys acting in his free time. Joseph's previous gigs have been as a Herdman in the Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

Cathy Alaimo

Cathy Alaimo (Grandma Kurnitz) is happy to make her DCP debut in Lost in Yonkers! She's previously been seen at Playcrafters in Skippack in Hallelujah Girls, and frequently at Music Mountain Theatre as Miss Shingle in Gentleman's Guide, Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and has been nominated for Best Actress in a Play for her participation in Vagina Monologues. Cathy would like to thank her husband Joe for his love and support.

Fred Halperin

FRED HALPERIN (LOUIE) is a veteran of community theatre in PA and NJ. He made his DCP Theatre debut in last season’s production of Wrong Window. His favorite roles include John Worthing (The Importance of Being Earnest), Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet), Grumio (The Taming of the Shrew), Inspector Rough (Angel Street), and Jean-François Millet (Is He Dead?). He would like to thank his amazing wife and beautiful children for their love and support.

Dan Hornberger

(Eddie) Dan, born and raised in Bensalem, makes his return to the DCP stage. His last role was as Loomis in Wrong Window here at DCP Theater. He has also recently played Sir John Middleton in Sense and Sensibility at Playcrafters of Skippack. He would like to thank the cast and crew of Lost in Yonkers for being so super amazing and friendly. To you reading this, please never forget that You matter, You’re important and You’re worth it!
