Ages 18+
One Week Class
Suggested Donation $10
What To Expect:
Tackle your fear of Shakespeare! Participants can expect to do some exercises on how to handle the language, how to make choices even when you have no idea what you're saying, and letting punctuation be your guide.
Limited to 15 participants
Instructor Bio:
Dan Wentzel's minor obsession with Shakespeare began in High School where he was appalled to learn that when the cartoons of his youth were quoting R&J, they were referencing a play with six corpses in it.
Since then, Dan's appeared in a variety of Shakespeare's plays on both a professional and a community level. He was part of a Shakespearean Parody troupe (The Mad Mechanicals) which performed at multiple venues. Additionally, he's played the Bard himself at several Middle School educational events as well as at the New Jersey and Philadelphia Renaissance Faires.
He's directed Twelfth Night, Merry Wives of Windsor, and Much Ado About Nothing with his company, Seat of Our Pants Players. He's even gone so far as to write an entire play in the Early Modern English Shakespeare himself used.
Seriously, people, he reads this stuff for fun. It's not healthy.

Dan Hornberger began his journey into Improv in 2007 at Bucks County Community College under the tutelage of the very talented Bill McLaughlin. After several successful community college shows he branched off with John McGarry and several other improvisors to form the short form group The Piece. The Piece performed all over the Philadelphia and Bucks County area and as far away as New York City. Around the same time he also helped to form the long form improv group Angry People Building Things. APBT held shows at many festivals including Philly Fringe Festival, Philadelphia Improv Festival and the Del Close Marathon in New York City. Dan is looking forward to introducing people to the wonderful world of Improv! You Matter, You’re Important and You’re Worth It!
John McGarry was discovered by improv in 2004 while taking theater classes at Bucks County Community College. Taught by Bill McLaughlin, a Second City alum and co-founder of NYC’s longest running improv group “Chicago City Limits,” John met Dan Hornberger in these very classes. He went on to receive instruction at the aforementioned Chicago City Limits in NYC in 2005. Upon completion, John co-founded Sam Malone’s Hairpiece, Bucks County’s premiere improv/sketch comedy group from 2006-2013. Along with co-founder Mike Tingle, Dan Hornberger was invited into the group shortly thereafter. Together they performed dozens, if not hundreds, of improv/sketch shows over the lifespan of the group throughout the tristate area and NYC, with shows at several comedy clubs, local theaters, bars, restaurants and even campgrounds. That’s right. They even headlined campgrounds! John can not wait to help introduce the skill of improv to those who’d like to add to their performer’s toolbox.
