Building Up Creativity At DCP!

By Carly Covel

This past Sunday, February 27th, the cast and crew of The Savannah Sipping Society, joined by additional theatre volunteers, began construction on their set. The set for The Savannah Sipping Society is designed by Technical Director, Ray Thompson to look like a beautiful porch in the deep south. This grand wrap around gabled sitting area is sure to be the envy of the neighborhood!

The Savannah Sipping Society set-build marks the first mainstage production set to be built on the DCP theatre stage since early 2020 when the set for Calendar Girls was constructed. Our stage has seen a few different sets since then, the family theatre set for Miss Nelson Is Missing, and our Outlet set; constructed to provide DCP with an intimate black-box atmosphere for our 2021 Outlet Season.

The Savannah Sipping Society Directed by Nancy Server-Thompson, plays March 24th - 27th Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 8:00 pm Sunday at 2:00 pm and the following weekend, March 31st - April 3rd Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 8:00 pm Sunday at 2:00 pm.
